Decorated in lively iroe polychrome enamels, they feature alternating panels with garden landscapes, birds among flowering branches, and chrysanthemum and peony floral roundels. Rich iron-red textile patterning is balanced by soft blue rim accents, a hallmark of mid-century Imari porcelain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"1173\"\u003eBoth bowls show strong color and detail with only light enamel wear appropriate to their age. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. The pair comes in a fitted kiri wood storage box along with a yellow cotton furoshiki wrapping cloth, a traditional method for storing and presenting fine tableware. The larger bowl measures approximately 7 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches high, with the smaller bowl nesting neatly inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1339\"\u003eLate Edo to early Meiji period (c. 1840–1870), porcelain with iroe polychrome and gilt decoration, made in the Imari kilns of Japan.
