Signed Tea Ceremony Chawan Tea Bowl w/ Flowers & Seascape 5”

This is a ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in a Japanese chado (tea ceremony). Suitable more for the summer season,I t’s thin walls allow the tea to cool faster during the hot summer months. It is covered in flowers on a light glaze with a gold rim and a lake side landscape.

This chawan measures 5 1/2" wide at its widest by 3" tall.

Having been in storage for 70 years it remains in fine condition.
