Antique Japanese 130 Year Old Meiji Era Cloisonne Vase Mt. Fuji Design
This is a unique Japanese Meiji era (c. 1890) ornate cloisonne vase with a mt Fuji design on one side and peoni flower and bird on the obverse with several other birds in flight on the two sides. there is minor damage with what looks like a cloud on the mt Fuji side but is actually an are worn through the enamel (see picture 10).
The bright red silk necklace measures 27" around. This vase is 4 1/2" tall (11 cm) and has a width of4 1/2" at the widest . Having been in storage for over a century, with exception to the cloud area on the Fuji side, it remains in fine condition. this is a fine example of Meiji era early Japanese cloisonne.
