This is a beautiful Japanese Meiji era (c. 1870-90's) ornate cloisonné vase. The hand crafted designs are of detailed floral and vine motif on a black background.
Made of copper, copper alloys and vitreous glass enamel.
This vase is approximately 6" tall by 4" in diameter (15 x 10 cm).
It weighs about 11.5oz. Having been carefully displayed for nearly five decades since acquired by a dedicated local collector, it remains in fine condition with no noted damage.
