Japanese Showa Era Hand Painted Imari Hashioki Chopstick Holder Set Of 5 W/Box
This is a set of five Japanese imari ceramic Hashioki or Chopstick holder (hashi=chopsticks, oki =put). Add a bit of traditional style and keep your hashi off the table and hygienic at mealtime with these hashioki. They are decorated with scenic landmarks from around Kyoto in bold indigo blue. The underside of each has the makers mark. These hashioki were made with high fired ceramics for lasting durability. They are presented in an old Sugi wood box with the makers name and stamp on the inside lid presumed to be Showa Era (c1950). Each hashioki measures 3/4" at its widest point by 3 1/2" long (2 x 9 cm) and its box measures 6" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" (15 x 11.5 x 4 cm) and remain in very good condition.
