This is a vintage original engraving by Koichi Yamamoto. Pencil signed “Koichi, 96”. Titled “Doyoja”.

Previously included in the collection of the Portland Art Museum.

 Professor Koichi Yamamoto merges traditional and contemporary methods of printmaking to create highly innovative and stylistically unique works of art. His engravings range from the abstract to the literal. 

He graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon with a BFA and continued his education in Poland, the Slovak Republic, Denmark and finally completed his MFA at the University of Alberta, Canada.  

He has taught at Utah State and the University of Tennessee.
