Kyusu feature a tubular handle on the side to keep your hand cool and to easily pour out a warm cup. There is a ceramic screen sculpted into the base of the spout to catch big tea leaves as well (see pic 5). Its thin translucent walls let light in to better watch loose leaf tea expand. There is a maker's signature on the bottom of the lid. It is painted with little blue stenciled flowers and rings around the lid, mouth and belly of the pot (see pictures). This kyusu would make a lovely addition to your daily tea experience.
This teapot measures 4 1/2" (11.5cm) in diameter by 4" (10cm) tall. Its over all width including the handle and spout is 6" (15cm).With exception to minor sign of past use, it remains infine condition.
