Wooden Bead Decimal Soroban 18" Abacus

This is an antique Japanese 126 bead Abacus known as a soroban. It features a lovely dark wood frame, strong jointed frame and a bone inlayed crossbar painted in calligraphy. This abacus has 5 earth beads and one heaven bead per rod which denotes it as  a later style placing it in the late Meiji early Taisho era. After standardization.
