Kama Tetsubin This is a Japanese tetsubin (iron water kettle for tea ceremony). It is made of cast iron and is 8" In diameter. The body features the classic pine trees designs. The lid is bronze which fits snugly on the body. It is made of very thick iron to hold the heat longer. It also features a thick flat bottom which distributes the heat more evenly around the kettle. It comes with a pair of Kama-ka handles Which slide in and out of the lugs on the sides.
The interior is lined with enamel to prevent rusting. Do not place this directly over a heat source.
