Antique (C.1930) Japanese Mini Iron Tea Kettle Tetsubin Enamel Lined Interior

This is an antique Japanese Showa Era (c.1920+/-) tetsubin (iron tea pot). It is made of cast iron and is very small, only 4" in diameter to steep tea. The body features pine needles rounds beneath a ringed "sky" under the lid. The lid itself is decorated in the same style. It is made of iron to hold the heat. The water from this tetsubin pours clear and will continue to do so as long as the pot is properly cared for. This It measures about 5 x 4.5 x 5" (12.5 x 11 x 12.5 cm) including the handle spout. We brought this pot straight from Japan and it remains in fine condition.
