Antique Chinese Pair of 2 Qing Dynasty Side Chairs Late 1800's Yumu Elm Wood
This is a pair of two 150 year old antique Chinese Qing Dynasty side chairs likely from c. 1870. The multi-paneled back rest and lower open form apron incorporates stylized dragons and flowers in a cultured form with artistic lines making it one of the favorite pieces of Chinese furniture. Believed to have come from the Shangdong Province on the coastal region of east China. The lacquered wood is a very warm red-brown.
The chair measures approximately 35" tall by about 19" wide and deep (19.5" seat) (89 x 48 x 48 cm). Having been used lovingly and carefully over the decades, with the exception of a very few scuffs and dents, it remains in fine condition. Weighs almost 15 pounds.
At this time of listing we have a set of two of these stools available. See the last picture and ask for additional photos if you would like to see more detail.
