Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Console Alter Table Carved 3/4" Etched Crystal Top

This is a 19th century antique Chinese alter table or console from the Qing dynasty. All five drawers are beautifully hand carved with a Phoenix motif in Yumu - Northern Chinese elm a high quality wood highly regarded in Chinese furniture making. The clear lacquer finish sets off the wood grain nicely. 

The custom made 3/4" thick crystal (not just glass!) top was hand etched by the nationally known Portland artist Christina Amri. This comes out of her personal collection. A truly rare find!

It remains in fine antique condition and should serve one well for another century of use. A great piece of Chinese history and an interesting and very solid and functional piece of furniture.
