Antique Japanese 12 Drawer Merchant Tansu Meiji Era c1910’s Sugi Wood 46"

This is an antique Japanese twelve drawer tansu that would have been in use by a merchant for document or product storage. Made of all solid Sugi wood (cryptomeria), Japanese cedar. We had one of our signature custom solid iron stands made for this piece to bring it up to a very convenient and appealing 32" height. Ideal for an entryway, hallway or bedroom piece.
