Tsutsugaki involves hand-drawing patterns with a resist paste, resulting in these intricate and vivid designs. The Kamon or family crest shown is the Nine Leaved Bamboo mon, Maru ni Kumai Sasa. This crest was used by the Takenaka clan during the Edo period.
