This late Meiji Era or early Taisho era (c1900-1920's) clothing chest or Ishodansu was originally the top part of a three piece tansu. In all there are 3 drawers and a cabinet with sliding doors. Bronze hardware pulls.
We can add a custom iron base (+$295). The sample pictured is about 7" high and brings the piece up to a convenient 23". Locally made by a welding artist that we have worked with for over 20 years. Legs have a subtle but elegant flare.
