Antique Japanese Meiji Era c.1880 Ceramic Imari Hibachi Brazier w/ Cutout Handels 11”

This is a ceramic Imari blue and white hibachi. With cut out handles and stenciled Foo Dogs (Shi Shi in Japanese). In Japan a hibachi is considered an enclosure for fire, usually hot coals sitting on a bed of ash use to help heat small spaces, lite a pipe or warm water for tea.
