Vintage Japanese c1960’s Steel Mawashibiki-Nokogiri Key Hole Saw 14"
This is a vintage Japanese Mawashibiki-Nokogiri "Key Hole" saw. It is the type of saw used in woodworking and Japanese carpentry that cuts on the pull stroke, unlike European saws which cut on the push stroke. This allows it to have a thinner blade that cuts more efficiently and leaves a narrower kerf (cut width). Made of a high quality laminated carbon steel and carefully milled by hand. Made by the renowned tool company Senkichi.
This saw is complete with all teeth along with an aged patina and some minor oxidation, it remains overall in good condition throughout, as seen in the pictures.
This saw measures 14" long overall. With a blade length (teeth area) of 7" long. Old world craftsmanship for the new world craftsman!
