A finely worked Meiji-period cloisonne vase with a rich goldstone (aventurine-flecked) ground beneath dense floral medallions, a butterfly cartouche, and banded diaper borders in blue, yellow, and green enamel. The neck and shoulder carry a lappet border and scalloped panels, with gilt-bronze rims at the mouth and foot.

The wirework is fine and closely set throughout, typical of higher-quality Owari (Nagoya-region) cloisonne production, where individual craftsmen worked largely unsigned as part of a broader village industry rather than under a single named studio. The base carries only a decorative gold wire scroll motif, no inscribed mark or seal, consistent with the great majority of goldstone-ground export cloisonne from this period.
