This in a beautiful Macassar ebony antique Japanese Taisho era c. 1920's two piece clothing chest or Ishodansu. The are two full width drawers, one cabinet with swinging doors concealing a large shelf and five compartments.

One of the doors does not stay fully closed as it is now.
