Antique Japanese Edo Era 1800'S Imari Ceramic Bowl Phoenix & Crane 8.5"

This is an antique Japanese late Edo Era (c. 1860) Imari ceramic plate hand painted with a design that features a Phoenix in the center and cranes, bamboo, and other decorations inside and out. All very auspicious shapes and protective patterns. The plate is made with high fired ceramics for lasting durability. This deep bowl measures 8 1/2" in diameter by 3 1/4" tall (21.5 x 8.25 cm). Having been in storage for most of the past century this bowl remains in very fine condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Some wear on the gold helps indicate the age and authenticity.
