This is an antique Japanese banner used at festivals and parades. It is exquisitely decorated in vibrant colors and festive designs. The overall design shows three very auspicious elements in Asian art - Pine / Bamboo / Plum Blossom (Shochikubai) - that symbolize strength and perseverance and good fortune.
