Antique Japanese Imari Porcelain Shallow Plate with Floral Panels and Birds 6.25"W
Antique Japanese Imari porcelain dish
Japan, late Edo–Meiji period (circa 1860s–1900)
Dimensions: 6.25"W × 1.5"H
A hand-painted Imari shallow plate decorated in a classic sectional panel layout, featuring alternating reserves of cobalt-blue lattice, iron-red floral diapers, and stylized foliate medallions. The central roundel presents a soft polychrome design of flowers, leaves, and paired birds rendered in iron red, gilt accents, and subtle blue washes. The underside shows typical Imari underglaze-blue bands and scrolling accents around the footring.
Condition consistent with age, including light wear, minor glaze flaws, and small enamel losses expected of late 19th-century Imari export ware.
