This is an antique Japanese hand colored Kutani ceramic sakazuki (sake cup) dating back to the late Meiji or Taisho Era (c 1910's). Also known as a Guinomi. It has hand painted colors over print. The design is of one of the Seven Gods of Luck, specifically Jurojin, the god of longevity. He is carrying the shaku a sacred staff with the scroll of life containing the wisdom of the world.

Its size makes the perfect sake cup for sipping your evening sake or a very elegant way to sip your evening cordial! Despite its age (over 100 years) and with exception to very minor signs of use, this cup remains in fine condition with just the smallest of chips on the rim. It measures 3.25" in diameter by 1.5" tall (8.5 x 4 cm).
