Antique Japanese Meiji Era C. 1880 Imari Ceramic Sencha Lidded Tea Cup Scenic

This is an antique Japanese Meiji Era (c. 1880) Imari lidded ceramic sencha tea cup. It has a hand painted scenic design. It comes with a matching lid. Hand thrown and fired in a wood fired kiln, this bowl was made with high fired ceramics for lasting durability over 140 years ago.

This tea cup measures 3 1/2" in diameter by 3" tall (8.3 x 7 cm) and the lid is 4" in diameter by 3/4" tall. Having been in storage for over a century, it remains in fine condition.
