This is an antique Japanese scroll from the late Meiji era (c. 1910) of the two Buddhist gods of luck, Ebisu and Daikoku. Ebisu was the patron god to fishermen and Daikoku is the god of luck to craftsmen. They are seen here all hand painted on silk . Ebisu has a sea bream (red snapper) and Daikoku holds his mallet used to gran wishes.
This scroll is approximately 75" long by 18" wide (190 x 46 cm). The actual artwork is 44" high by 14" wide (112 x 46 cm). It is overall in very good condition with some minor spotting from age. Your chance to own a museum grade piece of history!
The wooden end pieces are made of a rare Chinese hung mu blackwood.
