Antique Japanese Meiji Era Ceramic Blue & White Hibachi Brazier Floral Motif 24”

This is an antique Japanese ceramic hibachi likely from the Meiji era (1868-1912). In beautiful cobalt blue glaze. Traditionally in Japan a hibachi is considered an enclosure for fire, usually hot coals sitting on a bed of ash used to help heat small spaces, lite a pipe or warm water for tea or as general space heaters.
