Antique Japanese Meiji Era Ceramic Blue & White Hibachi Brazier Flower motif 8”

This is an antique Japanese ceramic hibachi likely from the Meiji era (1868-1912). In beautiful cobalt blue glaze it has flowers in bloom among calm clouds with leaves along the rim. Traditionally in Japan a hibachi is considered an enclosure for fire, usually hot coals sitting on a bed of ash used to help heat small spaces, lite a pipe or warm water for tea.
