Rare Antique Japanese Taisho Era c1920's Chadansu Tea Tansu Burle Wood 39"H

This is a beautiful natural finish display Tansu in solid Mulberry Burl and Sugi (cedar) wood. It has seven drawers total, two closed cabinets, one on the exterior and one inside the frosted front sliding doors along with two small drawers and space to display your items. The soft frosted glass front sliding doors can be closed to reveal only the soft shapes of the items with in, or removed to display the full interior. The beautifully finished burl wood is a constantly changing pattern of rippling waves of the highest quality. 

Traditionally used for displaying Japanese Tea Ceremony accessories.
