See photographs for details.

Porcelain sake cup decorated in underglaze blue with overglaze enamels and gilt highlights. The interior features a traditional pictorial motif, commonly including auspicious symbols, seasonal landscapes, figures, or ceremonial imagery, rendered with fine line work and restrained color typical of late Meiji decorative wares. Gold accents are applied selectively to emphasize symbolic details and inscriptions.

The exterior is minimally decorated, allowing the focus to remain on the interior image when the cup is in use. The foot shows expected kiln grit, firing marks, and wear consistent with age and use. Form, glaze tone, and decorative style align with sake cups produced for both personal and ceremonial use during the Meiji period.

A well-balanced example suitable for use, display, or collection, and representative of the variety and individuality found in hand-finished Meiji era sake ware.

Condition
Good antique condition. Age-appropriate wear throughout, including light surface scratches, kiln grit to the foot, minor firing imperfections, and rubbing to gilt details. No major chips or cracks observed unless otherwise noted.
