This late Meiji Era or early Taisho era (c1900-1920's) clothing chest or Ishodansu was originally the top part of a three piece tansu. In all there are 5 drawers and a cabinet with sliding doors. Bronze hardware pulls.

We can add a custom black iron base (+$295). Locally made by a welding artist that we have worked with for over 20 years. Legs have a subtle but elegant flare. Note that other items shown in the photos are not included in the purchase of this tansu.
