Antique Japanese Tsubo Urn Blue-Green Shigaraki Drip Glaze 16"H

This is a Shigaraki ware wood fired glazed Meiji era (1868-1912) Japanese green tsubo pot. This type of container was used for storing premium tea leaves. 

This vase is made of ceramics fired at high temperatures for lasting durability. Having been stored or carefully displayed for over a century this vase is in good condition.
