China, late Qing–early Republic, 19th–early 20th century
A globular cloisonné vase on a warm rust-red ground filled with a fine repeating scroll pattern, decorated with large white and yellow peony blooms and green foliage above a blue-and-green scholar's rock at the base. The neck carries a blue heart-scroll border; the foot band is blue with dot accents. Gilt brass rim at lip.
