Chinese Ink Cake Box W/ Calligraphy Poem Brass / Copper / Paktong 2.5"

This is a vintage Chinese ink cake box used by scholars and students to store calligraphy ink. It is made from of a copper alloy like bronze or brass and has lovely patina that sets off the etched calligraphy nicely.

The ink box is about 2 5/8" square by 1" tall (6.5 x 2.5 cm). Having been carefully displayed and in storage for many decades years, with just a bit of wear on the finish, it remains in very good condition.
