A matched pair of baluster-form cloisonné vases on a cobalt blue ground filled with a fine cloud scroll pattern, each decorated with large pink and white peony blooms and brown-toned foliage rendered in a painterly, naturalistic style unusual for the medium. The neck carries a green and blue cloud border; gilt brass rims at lip and foot. The two vases are closely matched in composition, scale, and color.
