Antique Japanese Miniature Tsubo — Wood-Fired Stoneware Jar

A tiny but striking Japanese miniature tsubo, just 2.5" tall with a 15mm mouth. Coarse sandy ochre stoneware with dramatic crawling glaze in lavender, blue-grey, and celadon — characteristic of Shigaraki or related wood-fired kiln tradition. Acquired with a collection of Japanese antiques, likely Meiji-Taisho period.

Condition: Glaze crawling is intentional. Some glaze lift at the neck — please examine photos. No chips or cracks to the clay body.
