This is a 6.75" x 10" Nishimura Hodo giclée reproduction print of a Japanese ukiyo-e (woodblock print) from c.1938. It is titled "Oumo" (parrot) and was created by the shin-hanga artist Nishimura Hodo know for his Kacho-e or "Birds & Flower" scenes. Published by Takemura Hideo. Nishimura was thought to be an in-house artist for the publisher and little is known of his biography.
This is a giclée print. It is from a very high resolution scan taken of the original Yoshitoshi print in our collection n with a state of the art flat bed scanner. It is printed on acid free archival fine-art paper with highly fade resistant pigment inks.
This measures 6.75" tall by 10" wide (16 x 25.5 cm). 1/2" white border has been trimmed. The print is in new condition.
