Japanese Ceramic Ikebana Vase W/ kenzan Flower Frog Attached Beige Striped

This is a hand thrown and ceramic Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) vase. The glaze is two tones of dark beige striped glaze over a light beige base. In the center of the bowl are two spiny flower frogs or kenzan adhered to the bottom of the vessel making easy work of preparing the vase for flowers. The heavy ceramic at 5 lbs 15 oz provides a sturdy base for larger and taller arrangements. Measuring 11" in diameter by 3 1/2" tall ( 28 x 9cm) this vase remains in very good condition.
