Japanese Ceramic Ikebana Vase With kenzan Flower Frog Attached Black & White 9"

This is a slab assembled ceramic Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) vase. The glaze is black glaze with a carved spiral glazed in the front and back of the body. The body rests on a high foot that projects from the bottom of the vase 2" off the surface. In the center of the bowl of the vase is a spiny flower frog or kenzan adhered.

to the bottom of the vessel making easy work of prepping your vase for flowers. The heavy ceramic at 5 lbs provides a sturdy base for larger and taller arrangements. Measuring 9" wide by 6" tall by 4.25" deep ( 23 x 15 x 11 cm) this vase remains in very good condition.
