Japanese Ceramic Ikebana Vase With Kenzan Flower Frog Attached Mizuyama 8"

This is a hand thrown ceramic Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) vase by Mizuyama and stamped and numbered by the artist. The glaze is a smoky blue gray mat glaze with stamp pressed squares around the body. The unique rim scoops in the middle offering the perfect portal to reveal the flowers within. This vase has a flower frog or kenzan adhered to the bottom of the vessel making easy work of prepping your vase for flowers. The heavy ceramic at 5 1/2 lbs provides a sturdy base for larger and taller arrangements.

 Measuring 8" wide by 6" tall (25 x 15 cm) these vase remain in very good condition.
