Japanese Green Obi Sash For Kimono Cranes Plum Pine Chrysanthemum Flowers

This is an antique Obi from the Mid Meiji era (c.1890), a type of sash typically worn around the waist with a kimono. Made of silk and woven with unparalleled precision. This obi has a design of flying cranes (tsuru), plum blossom, pine trees, and chrysanthemum flowers in green and dark yellow color. This obi measures approximately 116" long by 11" wide (2 m 94 cm x 28 cm). Having been in storage for well over a century this Obi is in fine condition.
