Japanese Hand Thrown Red and Black Ikebana Vase 7.5"

This is Japanese kabin (vase) used in Japanese ikeban (flower arranging). It is a simple elegant style with a waisted top. Glazed both inside and drip glazed in red and black outside it would make a fine vase for a formal or informal flower display.

This vase was hand thrown, hand painted, and high fired for lasting durability. 

This vase measures 13 1/4" tall by 5" across at the bottom (34 x 13 cm). Having been in storage for over 90 years, with the exception of a few repaired chips in the top rim (see pictures 6, 7, & 8) it remains in good condition. Holds water just fine.
