A handmade chawan (抹茶碗) in the moegi yu (もえぎ釉) style of Banko ware, the bulbous form covered in a ash-grey glaze with subtle green undertone — a muted, earthen interpretation of the traditional moegi (young green) color. The rim is finished in a dark iron-brown band. The interior carries the same speckled grey-green, deepening toward the center. The foot is glazed dark grey. The hand-formed body has a distinctive swelled profile with gently inward-curving rim. Made in Japan. New, unused.
