A handmade chawan (抹茶碗) in the sakura unofu (桜うの布) style, the rounded form covered in a soft, cloth-textured glaze of layered lavender-blue and crimson-red horizontal banding — the two tones blending to evoke the pink of cherry blossoms in bloom. The rim is finished in a deep crimson band. The interior carries a smooth lavender-purple glaze deepening toward the center. The foot is unglazed pale stoneware. The hand-formed rim has a gentle undulating irregularity. Made in Japan. New, unused.
