Handmade Mino ware matcha chawan in indigo yōhen glaze — ai yōhen style

A handmade chawan (抹茶碗) in the ai yōhen (藍窯変) style of Mino ware, the rounded form covered in a smooth, deeply saturated indigo-blue glaze with subtle streaked variation produced by kiln atmosphere during firing. The interior carries the same rich blue, deepening toward the center. The foot is unglazed white stoneware, showing the clean, pale clay body characteristic of Mino production. The hand-formed rim has a gentle organic irregularity. Made in Japan. New, unused.
