A handmade chawan (抹茶碗) in the hiwa kan'nyū (ヒワ貫入) style of Mino ware, the rounded form covered in a soft celadon green glaze with a bold, large-cell kannyu (crackle) pattern throughout exterior and interior. The interior deepens to a richer teal-green. The foot is unglazed pale stoneware. The hand-formed rim has a gentle organic irregularity. Made in Japan. New, unused.
