Japanese Round Red & Black Lacquer Lidded Box W/ Ceramic Set Inside

This is a Japanese lacquer box that has been modified with turquoise colored beads on the top and bottom (see pictures).

The modification has altered the lacquer finish as can be seen in pics 6 and 8. one of the ceramic bowls has been repaired (pic 7).

It is in acceptable condition. The largest measures about 12" (31 cm) in diameter by 4" high (10 cm)tall.
