Japanese Momoyama Era Mulberry Yari Koshirae Samurai Spear Handle Signed c1580

This yari shaft originates from the Momoyama period, a time of intense military activity and artistic flourish (late 1500s to early 1600s). Shafts from this era are rare survivals, especially with original fittings such as the ishizuki. While the spearhead is missing, the shaft illustrates construction techniques of early polearms, offering valuable context when paired with surviving yari blades.
