Set Of Two (2) Antique Japanese Small Red & Black Lacquer Bowls 4"

This is a set of two antique Japanese red and black lacquer bowls that were hand turned from cryptomeria wood with over twenty layers of black and red lacquer. Japanese lacquer is considered the finest in the world. 

Having been in storage for much of the past century, with exception to signs of use and a couple chips in the lacquer they remain in good condition and in good polish. These bowls measure about 4" in diameter by 1 3/8" tall (10 x 3.5 cm). These would make a great bowl for appetizers, treats and snacks.
