Vintage Japanese Ceramic Hand Thrown Chawan Tea Bowl

This is a ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in a Japanese chado (tea ceremony). It dates to the mid to late Showa era.

This chawan measures 5 1/2" wide at its widest by 3" tall.

Having been carefully stored or lovingly use, it remains in fine condition.
