Tea Ceremony Chawan Tea Bowl Broad White Strokes Over Gray Glaze 5"

This is a ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in a Japanese chado (tea ceremony). Date to the mid or late Showa era, 20th century. 

This chawan measures approximately 5" wide by 3" tall.

Having been carefully stored and lovingly used, it remains in fine condition.
